DRN is engaged in policy research and advocacy, public awareness campaigns, capacity building initiatives, and creating platforms to provide technical support, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

DRN is promoted by a team of rights advocates, academics, civitech advocates, and campaigners with experience on different areas of digital rights.

Our Mission

DRN mission is to ensure that everyone in Nepal gets access to the free, open, secure, reliable and affordable internet and are equipped, empowered and enabled to uphold their digital rights.

Objectives

• Promote internet rights, principles and standard practices in Nepal through evidence-based policy advocacy
• Enhance understanding and capacity of stakeholders to promote digital rights as human rights
• Promote digital inclusion and empower individuals in exercising digital rights
• Lead and collaborate with stakeholders to promote fair, just and equitable internet ecosystem
• Take necessary initiatives to protect interests of vulnerable population, including children, on digital space
• Create platform to facilitate discourse among government, parliament, businesses, and civil society to promote participatory digital rights policy processes
